The DIVA Spirit

Issue #1
Tis' Your Season

What a blessing and a pleasure it is to bring you the first issue of "A Moment With The King."

God is ushering me into a different season in my life and I am grateful to Him for allowing me to experience such an opportunity as this.
Allow me to greet each of you with a festive Merry Christmas .

This time of year or season is not necessarily a joyus one for everyone. Most of us have a tendency to start our year out with certain goals in mind and when we set these goals for ourselves we have every intention of reaching them or coming close. But life does not always go as we've planned. We find ourselves faced with situations that causes us to fall short of reaching our goals.

Perhaps you have found yourself in a situation where it seems like every positive thing that you wanted to accomplish not only this year but in your life just have not come to realization. In fact there are some that may feel like their life is “just what it is” and it's not going to get any better. Have you ever heard the saying "if it wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all?” Some people have faced so many difficult situations in their lives, so many rivers in their lives that seem uncrossable, so many mountains that just will not move  and having to face all of these negative situations day in and day out, they have convinced themselves that God has forgotten that they exist. Well I came with some good news, I came to tell you that God knows exactly where you are! There is nothing that you go through, good or bad, that He does not know about.
The Psalmists has written in the 125th number of Psalms the second verse:
" As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people from henceforth even for ever." God has positioned Himself around you. He knows where you are and what you are going through.

'Well if God knows where I am and what I'm going through, why hasn't He come to my rescue, why hasn't He raised me up from my present down fall, why hasn't He filled the lack that is so evident in my life, why are my prayers not being answer"?

God hears the prayers of the righteous. He also answers the prayers of the righteous. A request made of God will come back with one of three answers; yes, no or not yet. When the answer is YES or NO that leaves very little room for confusion. But when He says 'not yet' that's when we are left with unanswered questions.

Why would God answer in such a manner when He knows the desires of our hearts? Why would He leave us in a state of uncertainty? Remember, God knows where you are but for everything there is a season and this includes the events in our lives.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Our lives are filled with seasons, a time to plant and a time to pluck, a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to break down and a time to build up. God will many times tell us 'not yet' simply because it is not our season for the request that we have made.

If you are a true believer that God is who He says He is, even though you may not have achieved the things or reached the goals that you thought you would this year,  you must understand that God is preparing you for your season. Jesus said "I came that you might have life and have it more abundantly." It is Gods pleasure that you have the desires of your heart but in it's due season. Wait on the Lord your season is coming.

Romans 8:28 says "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." It does not matter the challenges that we may have faced this year or the ones that we face throughout our lives, just remember to stay your course for winds may blow, some thunder may sound, some rain may fall but if you just keep your eyes on Jesus you can be assured that it's all working for your good. Hold on, your season is coming. He may not come when you want Him to but He's always right on time.

As we enter this CHRISTmas season remember, don't give up on your faith; your season could be just a tomorrow away.

This holiday season let us love and honor each other and remember for all of us there is an appointed season.

To each of you,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year
